Itinerary – Riga and Vilnius Tour

Day 1

Upon arrival in Riga, make your way to the hotel to check in for 3 nights (private transfer available at additional cost).

Day 2

After breakfast, our English-speaking tour guide will meet you at reception for an orientation tour of the city on foot. You will see some of the famous landmarks and places to which you may return at your leisure. The tour includes the famous landmarks of Riga such as the House of Blackheads and St. Peter’s Church. Included in the tour is a visit to The Art Nouveau Museum.

Optional tour to Rundale Palace – 6 hour excursion

The magnificent Rundale Palace was built for the Duke of Courland in the 18th century, and lies just over an hour south of Riga. On this full-day tour, admire the palace’s Baroque and Rococo architecture, stroll around the Versailles-inspired gardens, and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant included in the price.

After breakfast at your hotel, check out by 12.00 noon.

Make your way to the bus station (private transfer available at additional cost) for you Luxexpress journey to Vilnius.

Upon arrival in Vilnius, make your way to the hotel to check in for 3 nights (private transfer available at additional cost).

Day 5

After breakfast, our English-speaking tour guide will meet you at reception for an orientation tour of the city on foot. Discover baroque architecture and medieval heritage in Lithuania and gain insight into the city’s rich history. Your guide will take you through the historic Old Town and along the way you will see the city’s attractions and famous landmarks including the Church of St Francis and St Bernard, Gediminas’ Tower, the Presidential Palace and Vilnius Cathedral.

Trakai was treasured by the Dukes of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania as their capital and is still loved by locals and visitors for its astonishing natural attractions. Located just 28 kilometres from Vilnius, the former capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania is situated in a picturesque lakeside area, making it one of the most popular tourist attractions of the country. Upon arrival, explore the historic town and well preserved ruins of the Peninsula Castle, set on its own island in Lake Galvė. It was reconstructed according to its 15th century plan after World War 2 and now houses the Trakai History museum too.

The Gutenbergs Hotel is a boutique-style hotel in the center of the Old Town. Famous for its gorgeous interior, romantic and historical style, and kind personnel, the rooms are traditionally furnished and all have an en-suite bathroom with hairdryer. The rooms have mini-bars, TV and free Wi-Fi.

Best Western Hotel Vilnius

Best Western Vilnius is located on the right side of the river Neris in the up-and-coming business district within walking distance of the Old town. The hotel has been newly renovated and all rooms have TV, hairdryer and free Wi-Fi. The hotel offers a small gym, sauna and swimming pool free to guests.
