Terms and Conditions of Booking:
These Booking Terms and Conditions, together with our privacy policy and, where your holiday is booked via our website, our website terms and conditions of use, together with any other written information we brought to your attention before we confirmed your booking, form the basis of your contract with ASLA Limited trading as Select-A-Tour.com of Brunel House, 1 Archers Court, Huntingdon, Cambs, PE29 6XG, England – (registered office )- (“we” or “us”). Please read them carefully as they set out our respective rights and obligations. In these Booking Conditions references to “you” and “your” include the first named person on the booking and all persons on whose behalf a booking is made or any other person to whom a booking is added or transferred.
By making a booking, the first named person on the booking agrees on behalf of all persons detailed on the booking that:
– He/she has read these terms and conditions and has the authority to and does agree to be bound by them;
– He/she consents to our use of information in accordance with our Privacy Policy;
– He/she is over 18 years of age and where placing an order for services with age restrictions declares that he/she and all members of the party are of the appropriate age to purchase those services;
– He/she accepts financial responsibility for payment of the booking on behalf of all persons detailed on the booking.
Deposit Payment:
Upon confirmation of your tour booking, we will collect the non-refundable deposit (as shown on your booking form) from the credit card provided.
If you book after the balance due date, we will collect the full amount at the time of confirmation.
If your credit card is declined, we will attempt to hold your reservation until your payment has been completed.

Visa Free Tour: 70 days prior to departure
Rail Tours: 90 days prior to departure
African Rail Tours 95 days prior to departure
Imperial Russia rail tour: 70 days prior to departure
Tsars Gold rail tours: 95 days prior to departure
We will collect your balance on the balance due date (or the closest working day, if this is a weekend or public holiday).
If you wish to use an alternative card to pay your balance, please advise us in writing.
For bookings received after the balance due date, we will collect the full amount due from the credit card provided.
Non payment of the balance is considered as a cancellation and loss of deposit will occur.
Payment method:
You may pay us by using the following methods:
Debit or Credit card; we accept payment by Visa and Mastercard (no fees apply).
Our website is secure, so you can safely input your card details online.
By bank transfer:
Remitter to pay ALL charges plus a €30 admin fee.
Bank details and our address will be sent with confirmation of your booking.
If we do not receive payment, we reserve the right to cancel services.
Credit Card Security:
On the advice of our credit card authorisation company, we are occasionally required to request a signed credit card authorisation form and a photo copy of your passport for identification purposes. This measure is in place for your own security and protection against fraudulent use of credit cards.
Financial Protection:
Select Tours and Cruises (a trading name of Asla Ltd.) is a company committed to customer satisfaction and consumer financial protection. From 01 September 2020 all monies paid to Select Tours and Cruises will be legally safeguarded by being held in a Customer Trust Account, thus ensuring that in the very unlikely event of our insolvency, they will be protected and refunded in full.
This will not cover any monies paid back to you by your Travel Insurance or any losses which are recoverable under another insurance or bond.
This is compliant with UK package travel legislation and ensures complete peace of mind for our customers.
Online payments are transacted via secure servers.
Cancellations:
Any additional services booked in conjunction with your tour will be subject to the same payment and cancellation terms as the tour.
All cancellations must be notified to Select-A-Tour.com in writing and acknowledged by us to be valid.

30 to 16 days prior to arrival: 50% of total tour cost
15 days or less prior to arrival: 100% of total tour cost

More than 56 days prior to arrival: loss of deposit
55 to 46 days prior to arrival: 75% of total tour cost
45 days or less prior to arrival: 100% of total tour cost

More than 70 days prior to arrival: loss of deposit
69 to 61 days prior to arrival: 50% of total tour cost
60 to 35 days prior to arrival: 80% of total tour cost
34 days or less prior to arrival: 100% of total tour cost

More than 91 days prior to arrival: loss of deposit
90 to 61 days prior to arrival: 50% of total tour cost
60 days or less prior to arrival: 100% of total tour cost
Cancellation charges – African Rail Tours
Up to 95 days prior to departure, loss of deposit
94 to 45 days prior to departure, 60% of total price
44 to 15 days prior to departure, 90% of total price
14 to 0 days prior to departure, 100% of total price
Cancellation charges – Imperial Russia Rail Tours:
Cancellations are charged as follows:
More than 71 days prior to arrival: loss of deposit
From 70 – 45 days prior to departure: 50% of total price
From 44 days to departure: 100% of total price
Cancellation charges – Tsar’s Gold Rail Tours:
Cancellations are charged as follows:
More than 95 days prior to arrival: loss of deposit
From 94 days to 45 days prior to departure: 45% of total price
From 44 days to 20 days prior to departure: 80% of total price
From 19 days prior to departure: 100% of total price
Amendments by you:
If you wish to change any part of your booked arrangements after our confirmation invoice has been issued, you must contact us as soon as possible. Whilst we will do our best to assist, we cannot guarantee that we or our suppliers will be able to meet your requested change. Amendment requests must be notified by email to SelectToursAndCruises@select-a-tour.com.
Where we can meet a request, all changes will be subject to payment of an amendment fee of Euro 50 per person for each detail of your booking we allow you to change.
You may upgrade to superior accommodation on your same tour or cruise subject to availability. You may not downgrade.
Please note that more major changes, including but not limited to, travelling on a different date may be treated as a cancellation and incur cancellation charges. If we are unable to accommodate your requested change and you are unable to travel, this will be treated as a cancellation and incur cancellation charges.
Note: Certain arrangements may not be amended after they have been confirmed and any alteration or cancellation could incur a cancellation charge of up to 100% of that part of the arrangements in addition to the charge above. If the reason for your cancellation is covered under the terms of your own travel insurance policy, you may be able to reclaim these charges.
If We Change or Cancel
As we plan your arrangements many months in advance we may occasionally have to make changes or cancel your booking and we reserve the right to do so at any time.
Changes: If we make a major change to your arrangements, we will inform you as soon as reasonably possible if there is time before your departure. Examples of minor changes include a change of accommodation to another of the same or higher standard.
Occasionally we may have to make a major change to your confirmed arrangements. ”Examples of “major changes” include the following, when made before departure:
- A change of accommodation area for the whole or a significant part of your time away.
- A change of accommodation to that of a lower standard or classification for the whole or a significant part of your time away.
- A change of outward departure time or overall length of your arrangements of twelve or more hours.
Cancellation: We will not cancel your travel arrangements less than 70 days before your departure date, except for reasons of force majeure or failure by you to pay the final balance.
We may cancel your arrangements before this date if, e.g., the minimum number of clients required for a particular travel arrangement is not reached.
If we have to make a major change or cancel, we will tell you as soon as possible and if there is time to do so before departure, we will offer you the choice of (for major changes but not due to force majeure):
- accepting the changed arrangements;
- having a refund of all monies paid; or
- accepting an offer of alternative travel arrangements of comparable standard from us, if available (we will refund any price difference if the alternative is of a lower value).
You must notify us of your choice within 7 days of our offer. If you fail to do so we will assume that you have chosen to accept the change or alternative booking arrangements.
Compensation
If we cancel or make a major change less than 70 days before departure, we will pay compensation as detailed below. The compensation that we offer does not exclude you from claiming more if you are entitled to do so.
More than 70 days prior to departure: Nil
69 to 61 days prior to arrival: €20
60 to 35 days prior to arrival: €30
34 days or less prior to arrival: €40
IMPORTANT NOTE: We will not pay you compensation in the following circumstances:
- where we make a minor change;
- where we make a major change or cancel your arrangements more than 70 days before departure;
- where we have to cancel your arrangements as a result of your failure to make full payment on time;
- where the change or cancellation by us arises out of alterations to the confirmed booking requested by you;
- where we are forced to cancel or change your arrangements due to Force Majeure (see Force Majeure).
Please note: where arrangements with a higher price than the original arrangements are offered by us and accepted by you, the difference in price will be deducted from any compensation payable. In no case will we pay compensation if arrangements are offered by us and accepted by you with a higher price than that originally booked in the same location where no additional payment is made by you.
If we become unable to provide a significant proportion of the services that you have booked with us after you have departed, we will make alternative arrangements for you at no extra charge and, if appropriate in all the circumstances, will pay you reasonable compensation.
Delivery fees:
Onward rail, air or theatre tickets (sold separately and not part of the tour package) should be collected from our local offices.
Delivery to a central hotel in resort can be made for an additional 25 USD / 20 EUR.
International Courier deliveries will be quoted on a current fee basis.
Booking Deadlines:
Select-A-Tour.com is able to accept online bookings up to 14 days prior to tour departure, subject to availability of the tour, subject to full prepayment by credit card only.
Additional Costs:
You must make payment for all services that are not included in your tour (e.g. meals, phone call charges, laundry and mini-bar) directly to the hotel prior to check out.
Offers and Discounts:
All offers and discounts are for new bookings only and cannot be applied retrospectively to existing bookings.
All offers and discounts are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time.
Errors:
Select-A-Tour cannot be held responsible for any costs incurred as a result of incorrect dates or personal data input by the customer. It is your responsibility to supply the correct dates and information for all services requested.
Consent:
By consenting to our terms of booking, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age.
Passport, Visa and Immigration Requirements and Health Formalities
It is your responsibility to check and fulfill the passport, visa, health and immigration requirements applicable to your itinerary. Any information we supply is for guidance only for general information. You must check requirements for your own specific circumstances with the relevant Embassies and/or Consulates and your own doctor as applicable. Requirements change regularly and you must check the up to date position in good time before departure.
Most countries now require passports to be valid for at least 6 months after your exit date. If your passport is in its final year, you should check with the Embassy of the country you are visiting.
If we supply a Visa support document:
You must be satisfied that all personal data and travel dates are correct.
You must ensure that all details are accurate, especially your name, passport number, date of birth and entry/exit dates.
It is your responsibility to ensure that your travel documents are correct when applying for a visa.
We are not responsible for any consequential loss resulting from errors or inaccuracies, that may result in your being refused carriage or entry.
Force Majeure:
Except where otherwise expressly stated in these booking conditions we will not be liable or pay you compensation if our contractual obligations to you are affected by any event which we or the supplier(s) of the service(s) in question could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid including any force majeure condition. These events can include, but are not limited to war, threat of war, civil strife, terrorist activity and its consequences or the threat of such activity, riot, the act of any government or other national or local authority including port or river authorities, industrial dispute, lock closure, natural or nuclear disaster, environmental pollution or contamination, fire, chemical or biological disaster and adverse weather, sea, ice and river conditions, volcanic eruption, tropical storms or hurricanes, or other acts of God, outbreak of hostilities, fire, flood, lightning, explosion, interruption or failure of a utility service (including but not limited to electricity, gas, water or telecommunications), renovations undertaken by the hotel or vessel, strikes or labour disruptions, quarantine restrictions, the act of any government or authority, government health advisories, or warnings or alerts of any kind of nature, government seizures, refusal or cancellation or suspension or delay of any government authority or any license, permit or authorisation, damages to its facilities or the travel supplier and its facilities, and all similar events outside our or the supplier(s) concerned’s control, including the effects of the UK ceasing to be a member state of the European Union. Advice from the Foreign Office to avoid or leave a particular country may constitute Force Majeure. If any of these or other conditions apply, Select-a-Tour shall be excused, discharged, and released from performance to the extent such performance is so limited or prevented, without liability of any kind.
Flights:
Our tours do not include flights, we do not supply flights.

If you fail to provide your correct email address and telephone number with country code, we cannot be held responsible for your failure to receive documents and messages concerning the status of your reservation. We reserve the right to cancel reservations when we are unable to contact you if necessary.
