Day 1  (Tuesday) Beijing

Arrival transfer from airport or rail station to your central 4 star hotel to check in for 1 night, before starting your epic voyage.

Day 2 (Wednesday) Beijing/On Train

06.00 hrs  Collect a packed breakfast and check out, ready for your transfer to the railway station for the first leg of your epic TransMongolian Rail journey.
Your guide will see you to your private compartment before saying goodbye as you start your epic journey!

07.27 hrs Depart Beijing on Train #3 

Enjoy your first day on the train, admiring the passing scenery and acquainting yourself with facilities on the train as you look forward to a memorable trip.

Day 3 (Thursday) Ulaanbaatar

14.35 hrs: Arrive Ulaanbaatar.  Your guide will be waiting for you at the station, and you will be taken to the Terelj National Park via the impressive Genghis Khan Monument.  Tonight, you will live and experience a nomadic lifestyle, when you spend a night in a traditional Ger camp, staying in a Ger (yurt), traditional Nomad’s accommodation.  Dinner is included this evening.

Supplement to upgrade to Luxury Ger (private facilities) is €60 Euros per person per night.
In winter, there are limited facilities at the Ger Camp.

Day 4 (Friday) Ulaanbaatar

This morning is spent at Terelj National Park where you will have the opportunity to explore Turtle Rock and to visit a nomadic family to learn about their amazing life style.
Transfer back to Ulaanbaatar after lunch for a city tour, including visits to Bogd Khan’s Winter Palace, Zaisan Hill Memorial and Sukhabaator Square.

Check in to your hotel for one night.

Day 5 (Saturday) Ulaanbaatar/On Train

After breakfast this morning, check out. We visit the Gandan Monastery where you will see the Monks chanting and the National History Museum.  There will be time for lunch and for buying Some snacks before transferring to the Railway Station for your train to Irkutsk.  Your guide will take you to your private compartment before saying goodbye.

15.22 hrs Depart Ulaanbaatar on Train #305 (no dining car)

Day 6 (Sunday) Irkutsk

14.52 hrs:  Arrive Irkutsk. Your local guide will meet you at the train to transfer you to Listvyanka.
Arrive at your hotel at around 16:00 hrs and check in for 2 nights. Evening at leisure.

Day 7 (Monday) Listvyanka

11.00 hrs:  After breakfast, meet your guide in reception for a tour to Taltsy village for lunch and a visit to the open air Ethnographic museum.   Arrive back in Listvyanka around 14.30 hrs and take a guided tour of Listvyanka with vehicle. You will see the Observation Point, St Nikolas Church and Chersky View Point.

Day 8 (Tuesday) Listvyanka / Irkutsk

Morning at leisure. Check out by 12.00 hrs and leave your luggage at reception.
14.00 hrs Meet your guide in reception for your transfer to Irkutsk, driver only.
15.00 hrs On arrival in Irkutsk, meet your guide for our 2 hour panoramic city tour of Irkutsk before transferring to your hotel for 1 night.

Day 9 (Wednesday) Depart Irkutsk

Morning at leisure. Check out by 12.00 hrs and leave your luggage at reception.

15.00 hrs meet your guide in reception to transfer to the Railway Station for the next leg of your journey.
Your guide will make sure you are in your private compartment before saying goodbye.

Days 10 and 11 (Thu, Fri) On Train

Days 10 and 11 are spent on board, enjoying the journey through the beautiful Russian countryside. The scenery will differ depending on when you choose to travel, each season bringing its own unique charm to a superb landscape.  There are plenty of photo opportunities, making new friends with fellow travellers and exchanging stories are part of the experience. On the train you can enjoy the local refreshments from the restaurant car and snacks, which are available at all time. During the journey there are short stops made at local stations, where you can very quickly purchase food or souvenirs from the platform vendors before departing for the next part of your journey.

Day 12 (Saturday) Moscow

13.58 hrs Arrive Moscow’s Yaroslavsky rail station, where your guide will meet you at the train. Enjoy a panoramic city tour before transferring to your hotel to check in for 2 nights.

Day 13 (Sunday) Moscow

10.00 hrs:  After breakfast, meet your guide in the hotel reception to begin your exploration of Moscow by metro, this will include some of the most spectacular stations and you will arrive in the city centre to visit the iconic Red Square and the Kremlin.  During the tour you will visit the territory of the Kremlin, one of the Cathedrals and the Armoury museum. The exhibits include ancient Russian regalia, Tsar’s ceremonial robes, vestments, gold and silverware by Russian, European and Eastern masters, arms and armouries, royal carriages and ceremonial harnesses.
Return to the hotel by metro with the guide at around 16.00hrs, or continue exploring the city and return to the hotel independently.

Day 14 (Monday) Moscow

After breakfast, check out and meet in reception for your departure transfer to the airport or rail station for your onward journey.
