DAY 2: ZAGREB

After breakfast, join our morning walking tour of Croatia’s capital, Zagreb, taking you through the historic Lower and Upper towns, visiting their main attractions such as St. Mark’s Church, the Government Palace, the Lotrscak tower, the Cathedral and Stone Gate. Feel the city centre vibe when walking through the colourful Dolac market in the morning or enjoy the rich gourmet offerings of local pubs and restaurants.

DAY 3: ZAGREB – PLITVICE LAKES – OPATIJA

After breakfast, check out. Morning departure towards the spectacular Plitvice Lakes National Park. The oldest Croatian national park consists of 16 lakes connected by cascading waterfalls. Enjoy a 3-4 hours walking tour strolling the wooden paths and nature trails surrounded by lush greenery and turquoise waters (minimum fitness level required).  Continue to Opatija and check in to your hotel for 1 night.

DAY 4: OPATIJA

Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Morning guided walking tour of Opatija, a coastal town situated on the picturesque Kvarner Bay and a cradle of Croatian tourism. It was once the favourite spa resort of the Habsburgs and European aristocracy, as well as the 19th century elite Gustav Mahler and Isadora Duncan. Walking through the colourful Angiolina park and along the Lungomare sea promenade surrounded by charming Austro-Hungarian villas and residences you can still feel the unique glamour of Opatija.  After the walking tour continue to join your Croatia cruise or make your own way to departure.

DAY 4: SPLIT

After breakfast and check out, join the morning guided tour of Split, the biggest city in Dalmatia with rich cultural heritage and historical values dating from the Roman times. At the core of this sprawling cityscape is the palace the Emperor Diocletian built for his golden years at the turn of the 4th century. To this day the Palace remains one of the best-preserved monuments of the Roman architecture in the world. Take a walk along Riva – the main waterfront promenade, often called the city’s “living-room”. This vivid pedestrian area offers numerous bars and restaurants where the locals gather to discuss their everyday lives over a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. After the walking tour continue to join your Croatia cruise or make your own way to departure.
